siteLevel has the ability to not only crawl and index standard text files and HTML files,
but also many other popular application specific formats. These include Acrobat
(PDF), Microsoft Word (DOC) and Excel (XLS), Macromedia Flash (SWF), RTF, and Word
Perfect. New document types are added regularly.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
siteLevel examines the header of each URL it crawls, which means that even if you have
your own custom extensions for your files, they will be crawled if they match any of the
above checked content-types. |
