Step by step directions for adding a search box to your 321Website Web site:

Log into your siteLevel account. |
|

Click on the "Search Box Options" tab, and click on the "Get JavaScript Search Box
Code" link. |

Highlight the code for your JavaScript search box. |
|
|
|
| 5. |
|
At the very top of your Web browser window (in the top toolbar), click on "Edit" and
"Copy" to copy your search box code. |
|

|

|
Visit http://www.321website.com and login to
your account. |
|
|
|
| 7. |
|
Click on the "File Manager" button. |
|
|
|
| 8. |
|
Select the radio button of the file that you would like to add your search box to. |
|
|
|
| 9. |
|
Make sure that the Action drop-down box has "edit page" selected. |
|
|
|
| 10. |
|
Click on the "go!" button. |
|
|
|
|
WIZARD - If you are using the "Wizard" to
edit your page, please follow the instructions below:

Click on the "Text" link in the left frame.
|

Put your cursor in the position where you would like your search box to be placed within your
code.

At the very top of your Web browser window (in the top toolbar), click on "Edit" and
"Paste" to paste your search box code.

Click on the "Save Changes" button.
|

|
In the page view of your screen, verify that your search box has been placed
correctly If you are happy with the placement of your search box, then you have successfully added your search box to
your site.
If you would like to change the placement of your search box, please do the following:

Click on the "Text" link in the left frame of the page.
|

Highlight your search box code (starting with "<!-- Begin siteLevel Search Box Code
-->" and ending with "<!-- End siteLevel Search Box Code -->").

At the very top of your Web browser window (in the top toolbar), click on "Edit" and
"Cut" to remove your search box code.
|

You may now try placing your search box code again, going back to Step 11 above. |

|
NORMAL EDITOR - If you are using the "Normal
Editor" to edit your page, please follow the instructions below:

In the HTML code text box, put your cursor where you would like your search box code to be
added.

At the very top of your Web browser window (in the top toolbar), click on "Edit" and
"Paste" to paste your search box code.
|

Click on the "Update" button.
|

Open a new Web browser window and load the Web page that you just edited.
|

|
Verify that your search box has been placed correctly. If you are happy with the
placement of your search box, then you have successfully added your search box to your site.
If you would like to change the placement of your search box, please do the following:

Go back to the browser window that is logged into your 321wesite account.

Click on the "<<Go Back" button.
|

Highlight your search box code (starting with "<!-- Begin siteLevel Search Box Code
-->" and ending with "<!-- End siteLevel Search Box Code -->").

At the very top of your Web browser window (in the top toolbar), click on "Edit" and
"Cut" to remove your search box code.

You may now try placing your search box code again, going back to Step 11 above. |
